Lax Like a Girl: Summer Training
Whether you're new to lacrosse or preparing to play with the PSD Stars this Fall, our summer sessions are the perfect opportunity to build skills, grow confidence, and have fun on the field.
Led by experienced coaches and local college players, each session will focus on age- and level-appropriate development — from fundamentals to advanced techniques. Players will be grouped by skill and age to ensure a supportive, challenging, and fun environment.
Our goal? To help girls fall in love with lacrosse, improve their game, and walk off the field each day smiling. Come learn, grow, and play with us this summer!
What We'll Do
Each session is designed to be high-energy, skill-building, and confidence-boosting — with a mix of drills, games, and fun challenges. Players will be grouped by age and skill level so everyone gets the right level of instruction and play.
We’ll focus on:
🏃♀️ Footwork & Conditioning
Fast feet = strong players! We’ll build agility, balance, and endurance through fun footwork drills and movement-based games.
🥍Cradling & Stick Confidence
From basics to more complex handling, we’ll help players feel comfortable with the ball in their stick — while running, dodging, and protecting under pressure.
🎯 Shooting with Power & Accuracy
Whether you’re new to shooting or ready to rip top-corner shots, we’ll teach technique, foot positioning, and power mechanics to level up your scoring game.
🛡️ Defensive Techniques
Players will learn body positioning, checking basics, and how to defend 1v1 and as part of a team.
🎲 Games & Competitive Challenges
We’ll use small-sided games and team challenges to apply skills in real-time, boost competitiveness, and keep it fun!
🥍 Scrimmaging
Each session ends with controlled scrimmaging — giving players a chance to put it all together in a game-like setting.
No matter where you're starting from, you’ll finish the summer a smarter, faster, more confident lacrosse player.
