overview

Northern Power offers league play to girls and boys of all experience levels. We will largely compete in the Spring AYL League and will play a mixture of home and away games. We will work hard to ensure all players are placed on teams where they can develop and have the best experience possible.

Beginner?
We have beginner teams in every age group!

Mission: Continue to bring new voltage to Northern Colorado. Growing the game is our passion, and building great people is our mission. Northern Power has been established to provide growth, prevalence, and community for players of all ages and experience levels in Fort Collins, Windsor, Loveland, and other surrounding areas.

The Northern Power blueprint contains three pillars: Committed, Resilient, and Together. We believe that these pillars and the specific behaviors associated with them dictate success in lacrosse and all aspects of life. We emphasize the blueprint regularly and reinforce it through numerous character workshops and leadership seminars throughout the year.

We pride ourselves on having the best coaches in the state! All coaches are trained in the NP Curriculum, and the majority of coaches have high-level playing and coaching experience. We choose to coach through inspiration and rewarding excellence rather than demanding obedience. We lean on the Power Blueprint of Committed, Resilient, and Together to guide our teams to be Better Players and Better People.

2025 Spring Age Groupings:

We use a grade-based system instead of birthdays for teams. Grade is indicated by the year a player will graduate high school.

2036 (1st Grade) - 2029 (8th Grade)

* 9th graders are not eligible to participate in the spring season

*2036 through 2033 (1st-4th), players may be grouped together depending on how the league aligns their divisions. They might also be 2032 through 2031 (4th-5th), and 2030 through 2029 (7th-8th).

*Please note that age groupings are subject to change based on the policies of the league we play in. Grouping players by grade has been a widely voted-on topic.

Refunds: Refunds for medical reasons will be honored in full, minus service fees up until the start of the season.

Refunds without a doctor's note (minus service fees):

  • Full refund until January 13th.
