Bio

Coach LaHoda grew up playing every sport you could think of. He found lacrosse in 6th grade, and immediately knew it was the sport for him. He was a senior captain and all-state midfielder at Monarch High School, and a two time MCLA National Champion at Colorado State.

Growing the game is his passion

Once his playing career concluded, he took the leap to make lacrosse his full time job. In 2015, Coach LaHoda became the owner of the Rocky Mountain Rattlers, where he grew the program from 3 teams to 20 teams in the span of 5 years. Since then, he has built multiple youth and club lacrosse programs that continue to grow and flourish. Most notably, Coach LaHoda is the Director of Team 91 Northside, which draws players from all areas north of Denver for tournaments, events, and advanced training. Additionally, he coaches the 2027 boys 91 National team, and is also the Director of My Lacrosse Tournaments West, helping run multiple tournaments and events year round.

He has coached at the high school level for 7 years, starting as the defensive coordinator at Thompson Valley High School. He was the head JV coach and varsity midfield coach at Monarch High School for two years before accepting the head coaching job at Mountain Range High School in Westminster. He has coached there for 4 years, and has led the program to a regular season winning record and two playoff berths in the program’s inaugural four years.

He has been engaged in and inspired by lacrosse in Northern Colorado for many years, and looks forward to building something special with you all.

Coach is a student of the game, and is constantly studying the top coaches, teams, and players in sports and business. He works hard to build development systems that help players, teams, and organizations reach maximum capacity and beyond.

Building great people is his mission

Leadership drives culture, culture drives standards, standards drive behavior, behavior drives the results and the experience. Team culture is central to how Coach LaHoda builds teams and how he operates his organizations. He believes that lacrosse is the best avenue to teach life lessons and build great habits and attitudes. His life’s work is predicated on preparing youth athletes to be the best they can be on and off the field, and strives to empower players to lead with courage, intention, and character. He is excited to bring new voltage to Northern Colorado Lacrosse.
